The Blue Sky Region is home to well in excess of 100, 000 people living in an area over 50,000 km2 (That's about 8 times larger than the GTA and about 2% of the population!) West to east from Markstay-Warren to Mattawa and north to south from Temagami to Novar, the Blue Sky Region is home to over 35 communities from quaint towns of barely 100 residents to a healthy city of over 52, 000 people. No doubt that the municipalities throughout the Blue Sky Region are culturally and economically unique, they are physically unique as well. The landscape of the Region ranges from the mountainous Laurentian foothills in the east to fertile farmlands in the west and old-growth forests in the north to rolling hills in the south. This distinctiveness only strengthens the Region as a cultural and natural resource.
